NuvoScan® 3D is an automated under-vehicle scanning solution designed to deliver high-resolution 3D views of a vehicle’s undercarriage in real time. Using a dual high-resolution AreaScan camera array and advanced mosaicing algorithms, NuvoScan 3D produces distortion-free composite images — even when vehicles stop on the platform — enabling fast, reliable threat detection at checkpoints.
NuvoScan 3D combines immersive 3D visualization with AI-assisted analytics so security teams can detect bolts, attachments, improvised devices and hidden compartments more accurately than legacy line-scan systems. The system’s rugged, IP-rated enclosures and adaptive lighting make it suitable for outdoor and indoor installations, from airports to military bases.
Two synchronized area-scan cameras capture overlapping high-resolution frames as a vehicle passes or stops on the platform. Proprietary mosaicing software stitches these frames into a seamless 3D color composite, allowing operators to rotate, zoom and inspect occluded areas. AI-based detection algorithms flag anomalies automatically and log entries into a vehicle database for auditing and reporting.
